The VYUHA'23 Annual Sports Meet was the grand finale of a month-long event that started on April 1st and continued until April 25th, culminating in the athletic day on April 27th 2023.

The event included various indoor, outdoor, and athletic sports activities, and participants were divided into four teams named Virat, Vikrant, Veer, and Vajra. The overall championship trophy was awarded to the Virat team, with the runners up trophy going to the Vikrant team, and the third place trophy to the Veer team.

The event was graced by Dr. Manjunath B, Registrar, Dr Prashanth M Vishwanath, Dean Research Dr Dhakshaini M R, Principal JSSDCH, Dr.Sowmya S, Sports Secretary.

The event concluded with the prize distribution ceremony, which took place on the athletic day.

Literary / Sahithya Club

SAHITYA – The Book Club of JSS Dental College & Hospital conducts book reading and presentation sessions to nurture reading habits among young minds. During these sessions, two to three presenters share interesting books they have read with an enthusiastic audience. The group also engages in discussions about the key take-away messages from the books and appreciates the writing skills and literary contributions of the authors. Inauguration of Literature Club

With great pleasure and enthusiasm, JSS Dental College & Hospital (JSSDCH) marked the beginning of its literary hub on 25th July 2023. The inauguration was held in the presence of Dr. Basava Gowdappa, Dean, JSS Medical College, who, in his address, spoke about the benefits and importance of reading.

Dr. Kishore, Chief of the Literary Club of JSS Medical College, guided the establishment of the club and spoke about the inception and journey of “JustDial,” the book hub of JSS Medical College. Dr. Dhakshayini, Dean, JSSDC&H, further elaborated on the vision of the club and formally declared the Literary Club open.

The literary hub was named “#SAHITYA” and looks forward to hosting book presentations periodically. Dr. Sunitha welcomed the gathering and briefed the audience about the functions and objectives of the club. Dr. Sreeshyla proposed the vote of thanks with a soulfully scripted poem composed by herself.

The inaugural ceremony was followed by book presentations. The event was attended by Dr. Anushree, Assistant Administrative Officer, teaching and non-teaching faculty members, and students of JSSDC&H and JSS Medical College. During the inauguration, the name of the library was also unveiled.
