JSS Academy of Higher Education & Research ( JSS AHER ) with its training and placement cell have facilitated sighting of fresh and promising human resources for the life sciences industry. Around 75 per cent of the students opt for enrollment into the training and placement and are suitably employed in leading pharma, Ayurveda, biotech companies, Hospitals across the country.
The key advantage for the life sciences industry is that JSS AHER Constituent colleges are ISO certified institutions and are part of the NAAC accredited JSS AHER. The office of the training and placement is to impart the hands on training and provide opportunities to the students of Pharmacy, Management, Life Science, Medical, Dental and Biomedical Sciences.
There are several collaborations with the industry not just to hire students but for industry-academia exchange programs also. The office of the Training and Placement is headed by Deputy Director – Academic since 2014. The office coordinates the meetings with constituent colleges thrice annually in order to understand the requirements of the students for the employment and the projects. The training and Placement office reports into the Vice Chancellor – JSS AHER. Each coordinator from the constituent college will be responsible to collate data of the students who are interested to pursue the career in life sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences and Hospital Administration.
