Policies and Procedures

  • At the beginning of the academic calendar, students will be encouraged to participate in aptitude tests or counseled to chalk out their career plan- whether to pursue higher education or to seek an employment.
  • Student willing to apply to a particular company/organization is required to submit the T&PC registration form willingness to the Training and Placement Office. Deadline for the submission of registration form should be adhered strictly. It is obligatory on the part of these students to attend the interviews.
  • Training and Placement Cell office will notify the opportunities to the registered students to secure one job at the first instance, and pursues a policy of one student- one job till at least 70/80% (depending upon the discipline) of the students in a particular branch/discipline get a job.
  • After accepting a job offer, if any student decides to withdraw his/her acceptance any time during the year, he/she must inform the company concerned through the Training and Placement Office immediately with in 24hrs of the results with justification letter.
  • Once student gets selected on-campus interview, he also attends any off-campus interview and if he gets selected in both, then he is bound to work for on-campus offer only.
  • The students selected through campus interview will complete all the necessary formalities (e.g. medical test) asked by the employer and will join the organization within stipulated time frame.
  • He/ she will keep the T & P Cell update regarding his/ her progress in the Company. T & P Cell, in turn, will obtain regular feedback from the employer regarding the performance of selected students. As a matter of policy, the selected students will work at least for the duration of one year in that Organization.
  • Training and Placement Cell invites prospective organizations/industries in the months of June to October of every Academic Calendar, along with all relevant information to participate in the campus recruitment. The organizations, in turn, can also contact the T&P Co-Ordinator for their requirement.
  • Details of the respective final year students in different streams opting for placement will be sent to the company/organization concerned, as per their requirement, along with a tentative, mutually convenient date for the campus interviews
  • The company may confirm the date or discuss a mutually convenient date, with the Coordinator-Training and Placement.
  • Recruiter’s registration form has to be submitted in the form of hard copy to T&PC
  • After confirmation by the organizations, a pre-placement talk (interview process) will be arranged on the identified date. The company will conduct tests and/or group discussions to short listed students. If required, telephonic interviews or interviews through Skype call will also arranged.
  • The organization will then interview the short listed students for final selection and will announce the results as soon as possible (preferably on the same day), once the selection process is over (with in 24hrs).
  • The final selection is not to be disclosed to students directly. The results are to be submitted to the TPC by end of procedure.

The Company is required to send offer letters to TPC, who will then hand it over to the concerned students. Such letters are expected to reach the cell before the end of academic every year.

  • The company should submit the Internship Announcement Form (IAF) to the Training and Placement Cell (TPC) or as a hard copy which serves as an introduction of the company internship profile, company's requirements etc. to the candidates., Such that it can be electronically broadcasted to the concerned students along with all the other relevant information furnished by the company.
  • The Undergraduate Students are required to undergo industrial training for duration of minimum 6 weeks during vacation after completion of 6 semesters of their respective programmes.
  • The company has liberty to ask for resumes of interested students and can shortlist them before the intern selection process.
  • The company will be allotted with the date for conducting intern selection with a request to confirm the same. On failing to do so, the allotted date may be given to other companies on their requests.
  • The company visits the campus on scheduled dates and conducts the Written/Online Test/GD/Interview as part of their intern selection procedure. Internship offers are not to be disclosed to the students and the final selection results are to be submitted to the TPC in a sealed envelope or communicated via email.
  • Students with multiple offers will be generally required to finalize their option and inform TPC by 12 noon of the next working day(24hrs). The students' choice would be informed to the concerned companies.
  • The Institute follows "One Student One Internship" policy.
  • The company is required to send offer letters to the TPC, which will then hand them over to the concerned students.
  • On successful completion of Internships, companies may offer PPOs (Pre Placement Offer) to the students. PPO offered by the company has to be intimated to the TPC.

    • In the best interest of the company, it is advised to send the list of PPOs as early as possible, preferably by the end of October(every year) to prevent the potential students from participating in any on-campus placement activity which Begins from November of every year.
