Objective Statement

To create awareness regarding medical negligence and prevention of the same among the budding doctors.

Train the undergraduate students to perform basic medicolegal procedures.

Preparing the future medicolegal experts regarding facing defence lawyers during cross examination while appearing as Expert witness in the courts of law.

1.    Teaching the subject of Forensic Medicine to undergraduate & Postgraduate (MBBS) medical students.
2.    Designing teaching curriculum for undergraduate and postgraduate students.
3.    Evaluation of undergraduate / postgraduate medical students.
4.    Conducting Medico-legal Autopsy for the description and interpretation of the findings and opining as to the cause of death.
5.    Visiting the scene of occurrence / crime, for examination and collection of trace evidence and other evidentiary material for investigation.
6.    Description, interpretation and opinion on Histopathological slides, mounted specimens, photographs and radiographs of medico-legal importance
