The Pharmacy Practice, patient oriented course, was started at Jagadguru Sri Shivarathreeshwara (JSS) College of Pharmacy, Mysuru in 1995 (first of its kind in India). The Department of Clinical Pharmacy was established at JSS Hospital, Mysuru in April 1997. The objective of the Department is to impart patient oriented pharmacy education and train the students in Clinical Pharmacy Practice on par with international standards and to provide Clinical Pharmacy services at JSS Hospital and other practice sites. The Department has well trained staff with adequate space and library facilities. Electronic databases with adequate number of computers, broadband internet facility, standard texts & references, national and international journals are available to patient care services.
