The course is to learn the various scientific aspects of food, methods of nutritional assessment and different teaching aids. Understand the basic concepts of dietetics and meal planning, food service management the various preservation methods, product development and prevention of adulteration. Exposed to Biochemical methods and techniques to understand the metabolism of various macro and micro nutrients. Students are also familiarized with food microbiology and packaging.
