The department of Pathology was established in the year 1984. Pathology is the medical specialty concerned with the study of nature and causes of diseases. The Pathology department of JSS Hospital has robust Histopathology, Cytology, Hematology, Clinical laboratory, and Blood transfusion divisions supported by state-of-the-art technology and teaching infrastructure to ensure and facilitate quality laboratory practice. It is well recognized for its committed approach towards providing accurate and timely diagnostic services.
All faculty members are passionate teachers, skilled pathologists, well versed with the subject, trained at various national and international institutes and keen researchers. Our aim is to have a department with holistic emphasis on education, diagnostics, and research to embrace the rapidly changing scenario of laboratory medicine.
Faculty also constantly attend CMEs conferences and engage in webinars, competency assessment programs and engage in the development of point of care diagnostic services to learn and discover viable ways to improve on the patient care they deliver for the best public health outcomes.
The department also hosts regular social meets to harbor interpersonal bonds and foster warm friendships that are vital for the well-being of the department.
