Museum

Museum of Anatomy department has a wide collection of specimen which includes dissected human parts, foetuses showing different stages of development & rare congenital anomaly specimen, embryology models & charts. The museum also has Plastinated specimens, where they can touch the organs & study. Each specimen is displayed with relevant description. The museum is open to the public and students at free of cost. School and college children of Mysore district & other districts visit anatomy museum to learn about body parts. On an average of 20 schools & colleges (50-200 students/visit) visit the museum every year. To visit the museum, the institution will have to take prior permission from the Principal and HOD. Appointment will be given on priority basis and one faculty will indulge the visitors to go through the museum. Visitors are free to express their experience and write the same in visitor’s dairy.
