Building on the success of the Master of Public Health (MPH) program established in 2010, and the formal establishment of School of Public Health (SPH) in 2021, we have emerged as a hub for public health education, research, and community engagement. SPH follows the latest model curriculum as per the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) and UGC guidelines, ensuring students are equipped with contemporary, practice-based knowledge. Recognized by the prestigious QS I-Gauge diamond ranking for its commitment to academic excellence and research, SPH is involved in translational research supported by organizations like UNICEF, WHO, ICMR, ICSSR and Novartis. With advanced infrastructure under development, the School of Public Health is poised to evolve into a premier Institute of Public Health. SPH actively collaborates with leading institutions such as University of Georgia, University of Arizona, Ohio University, Piramal Swasthya, GRAAM, SVYM, IPH, and PHRII. It offers hands-on workshops in research methods, robust field outreach, and fosters student-led social entrepreneurship - ensuring holistic, real-world learning for future public health leaders.

JSS Academy of Higher Education & Research

JSS Academy of Higher Education & Research, formerly known as JSS University, is a Deemed to be University located in Mysuru, Karnataka. It was established in 2008 under Section 3 of the UGC Act 1956 and is a part of JSS Mahavidyapeetha, which runs a variety of educational institutions. This deemed-to-be university is recognized by MHRD and accredited by NAAC with A+ Grade (3.48 CGPA). JSS AHER has been graded as Category-I Deemed-to-be University by UGC.

The Deemed-to-be University has been focusing on teaching, research, and health services since its inception. Under the leadership and gracious Patronage and Blessings of His Holiness Jagadguru Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Mahaswamiji, the Chancellor of JSS Academy of Higher Education & Research, Pro-Chancellor, Dr. B. Suresh, a noted multifaceted leader of repute and Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Surinder Singh, an acclaimed Administrator, the Deemed to be University has made great progress in grooming graduates, postgraduates, and Ph.D. researchers by providing effective value based education across our institutions by focusing on the overall development of an individual through state-of-art facilities to make the learner a useful citizen to the society.
