CAPABILITY AND STRENGTH

ANIMAL TISSUE CULTURE LABORATORY

The department is well equipped with animal tissue culture facilities which will enable to carry out research work pertaining to anticancer, antiviral, hepatoprotective, antihyperlipidemic, antioxidant, antidiabetic and neurogenic disorder studies etc. Modernization of Animal Cell Culture Laboratory operation using the State of Art Technology conforming GLP regulation.

BIO-PROCESSING

The department has facilities for primary and secondary screening of microorganisms for their enzyme, antibiotics and amino acid production by fermentation.

MOLECULAR BIOLOGY SETUP

The department has facilities for isolation, characterization, amplification and purification of nucleotides and protein. The department has Gel documentation system, PCR, RT-PCR, DNA Sequencer etc for the same.

DRUG TESTING FACILITIES

The department is recognized by Government of Tamil Nadu and Government of India for carrying out microbial testing of Pharmaceutical Preparations as per Indian Pharmacopoeia regulations.
