About the Special Clinic, "Breathe Healthy"

“Breathe Healthy” special clinic is an Interprofessional collaborative clinic for the care and management of children with Upper Airway disorders. The presence of upper airway disorders can seriously affect one’s quality of life. It is also a significant component of Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) and can severely affect the quality of sleep.

The timely management of upper airway disorders is very important for the normal growth and development of the child. At “Breathe Healthy”, we offer Interprofessional (IP) care and management for children with upper airway disorders. The uniqueness of Breath Healthy special clinic is its Interprofessional care & management offered by the Dept of Paediatrics, Dept of ENT & Dept of Orthodontics under one roof. Our Interprofessional team comprises of Paediatrician, ENT Surgeon, Orthodontist and Paediatric Dentist. In addition to this, we undertake research activities to provide the highest quality of care for our patients.

About Upper Airway Disorder :

Upper airway disorders result in difficulty to breathe through Nose. This might be due to structural abnormalities of Nose, Septal Deviations, Turbinate hypertrophy, Short upper jaw etc. Most parents of children with upper airway disorders complain of-

  • Difficulty in sleeping
  • Breathing through the mouth
  • Snoring
  • Frequent running nose
