The School of Life Sciences and Life Sciences Departments was established in the year 2013 with the blessings of His Holiness Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Mahaswamiji, Chancellor, JSS Academy of Higher Education & Research, Mysuru.The School of Life Sciences and Life Sciences Departments is enunciated in the JSS Academy of Higher Education & Research's Strategic Planning Framework.

The Department strongly believes that the interdisciplinary research and collaboration is crucial for ensuring continuous professional, scientific and innovative development in Life Sciences the Department covers a wide spectrum of biological, biomedical and environmental sciences with several interdisciplinary research areas, it provides plethora of job opportunities at various biotechnological, agriculture, pharmaceutical and other industries as well as R & D organizations and teaching institutions across the country or overseas.

Till date 227 students have been placed from different streams of PG courses and we keep inspiring the young minds to aspire great heights.
