Profile

Presently Dr. K. Mruthunjaya is working as Professor in the Department of Pharmacognosy. Dr. K. Mruthunjaya completed M. Pharm, in Pharmacognosy in the year 1999 from Govt. College of Pharmacy, Bangalore and PhD 2009 from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka, Bengaluru. He has long 20 years of teaching and research experience in the said college. His area of research is identifying, screening and validation of antioxidant herbs for their various biological properties. So far more than 15 anti-oxidant herbs were screened for their various biological properties especially for their Hepatoprotective, anticancer, anti-inflammatory activities. He has guided and Co- guided 26 M.Pharm students and 15 PG Scholars of Medical Dental and Life Science discipline. At present guiding 01 and co-guiding 4 PhD Scholars who are working in his area of interest. Presented several presentations in national and international conferences and published 70 research and review articles in peer reviewed journals. Apart from his academic and research activities, he is also actively involved in supporting administrative and accreditation responsibilities such as Co-ordinator for NBA (National Board of Accreditation of AICTE), College Core Committee Member of NAAC and ACPE (Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education, USA), Deputy Management Representative for ISO activities.

Dr.Sureshjoghee is presently working as Professor in the Department of Pharmacognosy, completed B.Pharm, M. Pharm ( Pharmacognosy) and PhD from JSS College of Pharmacy, Ooty under Tamilnadu Dr.MGR Medical University, Chennai. He has had more than 26 years of teaching experience. Presented several presentations in national and international conferences and published 48 scientific papers in peer-reviewed national and international journals. His area of research is standardization of herbal drugs, immunomodulation, and antimalarial form herbs. He provides guidance for research activities for the award of Masters and Doctor of Philosophy degrees. Presently he was guideing two PhD Scholars in which one PhD scholar getting DST Insire fellowship. He is a member of various professional national and international organizations. Applies and procures grants to the department from various government and private agencies. He is involved in the administration and planning the departmental activities.
