The vision was accomplished by way of simultaneous academic and research training of both the students and faculty continually. Presently apart from its routine responsibility of various patient care areas and students training, faculties and students are regularly involved in original research work including quality publications. All postgraduate students are guided and given good opportunity for stage presentations at various state and national level forums. Departmental faculty are regularly involved in hospital’s policy and protocol developments at various phases and hence contributing for the smooth and efficient running of hospital services.
The department is recognized for Several progresses in streamlining the hospital operational processes at various levels of care and in conducting seminars, workshops, CME’s, and guest lectures and many other interactive educational experiences is what makes the department of Hospital Administration Unique. One of the novel teaching and learning programme practiced by our department is problem based / case based learning.
The Department of Hospital Administration, JSS Medical College and Hospital, continues to work towards developing the next generation leaders in the field of Hospital and Healthcare Administration for providing cost – effective improved quality of healthcare through high standards of education pioneering research. The department of Hospital Administration also has to its credit various publications in PubMed indexed journals.
