Medical devices are critical for a better healthcare system. Indigenous development of novel, suitable, reliable, and affordable devices leads to social impact as well as high-value jobs. Medical Device Hackathon (MEDHA) 2022 is organized by JSS Academy of Higher Education and Research (JSS AHER), Mysuru, under the mentorship of Biomedical Engineering and Technology Innovation Centre (BETIC), IIT Bombay (IITB), Mumbai. It is a hackathon aimed at bringing together interdisciplinary teams to explore medical device innovation. MEDHA 2022 Stage-I will be held on 14 th & 21 st May 2022 at JSS College of Pharmacy (JSSCP), JSS AHER, Mysuru in collaboration with SPARKLE CINE (Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship), Mysuru. The event will be hosted in association with JSS Medical College (JSSMC) & JSS Hospital, JSS Dental College & Hospital (JSSDC), School of Life Sciences, JSS Science and Technology University, New Age Incubation Network (NAIN), Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering-Science and Technology Entrepreneurs Park (SJCE-STEP), Mysuru.
Winners of the event will be rewarded with attractive cash prizes and will be pitching their ideas/projects to eminent jury panels during the Stage-II event at IIT Bombay, Mumbai.
The final winners will have an opportunity for fellowships and support for working and translating their ideas for the benefit of society. This event will enable curating clinical needs, training potential innovators, expanding the collaboration network, and sharing the best practices among collaborators/partners.
