
The 49th Continuing Medical Education (CME) programme, jointly organised by the Physicians Association for Nutrition (PAN) India and the School of Public Health, JSS Medical College, JSS AHER, Mysuru, was successfully conducted on 23rd December at JSS Medical College, Mysuru. The CME focused on “Evidence-Based Nutrition: The Role of Whole Food Plant-Based Nutrition as Medicine”, bringing together clinicians, academicians, public health professionals and students for an engaging and insightful academic exchange. -Thought-provoking expert talks on plant-based nutrition and longevity - Discussions on gut health, immunity, and ultra-processed foods - Interactive panel discussion, Q&A sessions, and quiz - Strong emphasis on translating evidence into clinical and public health practice The programme reinforced the growing role of nutrition as a therapeutic tool in preventing and managing non-communicable diseases and highlighted the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration in advancing lifestyle and preventive medicine. We thank all the resource persons, panelists, organisers, and participants for making this CME a meaningful and enriching experience.
