Dept of Pediatric & Preventive Dentistry, JSS Dental College & Hospital, JSS Academy of Higher Education & Research celebrated World Oral Health Day on 20th March 2023. This is a week-long celebration that will be focused on creating awareness and planning oral health promotion and prevention activities for the pediatric age group. The event started with Oral hygiene education to the children and parents and the distribution of age-specific free oral health kits. Educational videos were made by the postgraduate student to create awareness among the public about the various aspects of oral health. These videos will be uploaded on the official website of the institution, Instagram and Facebook. Nurses were provided with training on the role of assistant in Pediatric Dental practice. The Pediatric dentists pledged for promoting good oral health for mothers, children, and those with special health care needs. The children proud of their oral health posed at the selfie booth. Dr. Anushree S M, AO, JSSDCH inaugurated the event following the pledge ceremony. Dr. Raghavendra Swamy was awarded the Best Oral Health of the Smile makers of JSSDCH.
