The Women's Day Celebrations were held on 18th March 2023 at JSS Dental College, in collaboration with IIC & ICC. The event was sponsored by Volkswagen Mysore. The event was graced by the presence of Ms Divyashree KAS, Chief Superintendent, Mysore Jail, the Chief Guest for the event, who delivered a thought-provoking address on gender equality. The event began with a warm welcome address by the Principal of JSS Dental College, who spoke about the significance of Women's Day and how it is a celebration of the achievements of women in various fields. This was followed by a felicitation ceremony for Dr Deepika, Prof & HOD, Department of Periodontia who retired recently. Dr Deepika expressed her pleasure and gratitude for the support she received from JSS throughout her career. The senior office staff member, Ms Shalini, was also felicitated and expressed her gratitude for the recognition. The vote of thanks was delivered by Ms Anushree S M, Assistant Administrative Officer, who thanked all the guests, sponsorers and participants for their presence and support. Snacks and refreshments were served to the attendees. The cultural programs were organized by the students of JSS Dental College, and the cultural secretary, Dr Manjula S, and her team. The programs were entertaining and showcased the talents of the students. The highlight of the event was the speech by Intern Dr Raghu Pavan, who delivered an inspiring speech that motivated the audience. Overall, the Women's Day Celebrations at JSS Dental College were a grand success. The event was well-organized and celebrated the achievements of women in various fields. The speeches and cultural programs were inspiring and showcased the talent and potential of the students. The collaboration with IIC & ICC added value to the event, and the support from Volkswagen Mysore was much appreciated.
