The event was conducted under the patronage of Dr. Suresh Bhojraj, Pro-Chancellor, JSS AHER, Dr. Surinder Singh, Vice Chancellor, JSS AHER, Dr. Manjunatha B, Registrar, JSS AHER, Dr. Kushalappa P A, Director (Academics), JSS AHER, Dr. Balasubramanian, Director (Research), JSS AHER, Dr. Raveesha K A, Professor & Head, Faculty of Life Sciences, Department of Water and Health, JSS AHER. In this session, Mr. Mahesh R V, Founder, Spirulina Foundation, Tumkur, Karnataka, spoke about the “Prospects of Biotechnology – Pre & Post COVID”. His talk highlighted the scope of biotechnology and the varied entrepreneurship opportunities offered by the subject. He also emphasised on the importance of biotechnology in aiding humanity against growing public health concerns such as the COVID-19 pandemic. The event saw an attendance of as many as 150 delegates.
