Overview
JSS Dental College & Hospital is located in an area of 43 acres of land at mysore city which is about 140 km from bangalore. Mysuru city is known for clean city, palaces, brindavan garden and excellent climate. It is also an hub for education. Mysuru city is well connected by road, rail as well as by air.
College was established in the year of 1986, has experinced taching faculty for both medical and dental courses. Dental college was afiliated to university of mysore then to rajiv gandhi health university till 2008. Now it is a constituent college of jss academy of higher education & research (earlier it was jss university) it is recongnised by dental council of india new delhi.
Our esteemed university is ranked in band 2001-300 by the impact ranking qs I-guage rated 5 star and it is naac a+ accredidated. Dental college is ranked 10th in nirf and iso certified
Hospital Facility
JSS Dental College & Hospital has 1.80 lakhs of sq ft built area with each department spread out in 1500 sq ft area. 362dental units are available for providing a oral care in the various speciality departments.
There is a separate operation theater with two ot tables and latest accessories. Basic medical sciences are available in the separate lock within the campus. Medicine and surgergy training is attached with jss hospital which is nabh accreditated and situated at 7 kms from the campus. Pre-clinical departments are well equipped with phantom head which can cater 100 plus students. Clinical departments are very well equipped with latest instruments for training purpose.
Library Information
Library is located at the basement is spread over 30000 sqft it has a good collection of books (national & international) around 9400 plus. There are around 108 journals subsbribed both international & national. Library has three database which can access more than 400 journals and text books. Library is also wifi enabled.

MDS Post Graduate course is of 3 years duration. Candidates should satisfy the eligibility requirement as per the NEET PG Information Brochure, Medical Council Committee of DGHS and the minimum eligibility requirements as prescribed by the Dental Council of India

My primary objective is
- To contribute a quality innovative teaching to under graduate and post graduate students in learning the nature, characteristics, cause, effects and diagnosis of diseases affecting the oral and maxillofacial regions, which facilitates appropriate treatment of the same. This can help the dental students to understand as fundamental source of clinical knowledge.
- To teaches other sub-specialties like Dental Anatomy, Oral Histology, Oral Embryology and Oral physiology and also to identify and carving of teeth.
- To provide the highest quality diagnosis of the oral and maxillofacial pathologies.
- · Developing teaching modules.
- Participation in National level CDE programmes, seminars, and conferences
Oral pathologist in the Department of oral pathology and microbiology, JSSDCH since 2006 and also member of UG board of studies in JSS University, Mysore. She was examiner in various universities for both PG and UG students and also set question paper in various universities. Member in Anti-ragging flying squad, ISO department coordinator, Student counselor for BDS students and contribute in the excellence progress in the institution and university level.
Has delivered several guest lecturers at state and national level and chaired various scientific sessions at national and international conferences. Have national and international publications in various peer reviewed journal and presented scientific papers in national and international conferences. Contributed a topic in textbook and guided the research work to post-graduate students. Area of interest in forensic odontology, oncology and immunohistochemistry.
Research on special stains for immunohistochemical changes inpre-cancer and oral cancer Basic biochemistry, haematological as well as molecular biology of the oral disease Anthropometric measurement of tooth and other maxillofacial development
