JSS Dental College & Hospital is located in an area of 43 acres of land at mysore city which is about 140 km from bangalore. College was established in the year of 1986, has experinced taching faculty for both medical and dental courses. Dental college was afiliated to university of mysore then to rajiv gandhi health university till 2008. Now it is a constituent college of jss academy of higher education & research (earlier it was jss university) it is recongnised by dental council of india new delhi.

JSS Dental College & Hospital has 1.80 lakhs of sq ft built area with each department spread out in 1500 sq ft area. 362dental units are available for providing a oral care in the various speciality departments.
There is a separate operation theater with two ot tables and latest accessories. Basic medical sciences are available in the separate lock within the campus. Medicine and surgergy training is attached with jss hospital which is nabh accreditated and situated at 7 kms from the campus. Pre-clinical departments are well equipped with phantom head which can cater 100 plus students. Clinical departments are very well equipped with latest instruments for training purpose.
Library is located at the basement is spread over 30000 sqft it has a good collection of books (national & international) around 9400 plus. There are around 108 journals subsbribed both international & national. Library has three database which can access more than 400 journals and text books. Library is also wifi enabled.

PROFILE-- Institution has always encouraged its students and he is one of the alumini to be absorbed as a faculty. As an experienced dental professional and a clinician, he likes to impart skill and acumen to the undergraduate and post-graduate students in treating the patients in a professional and holistic way. This is tried to achieve by offering his vast clinical experience by continuous chair side discussion and controlled demonstration. Assisting and imparting practical, clinical exposures to the students to elevate their self-confidence to be a better future clinician in serving the patients has been his strength. He was also voted as the best all round teacher by students on teachers day celebration. To keep up with the latest technology and up gradation, he is keen in participating in conference, CDE programme and workshops. He has shown special interest in the field of complete dentures and fixed partial dentures. Additionally, he is highly honoured for being entrusted as a foreign student welfare co-ordinator due to his teaching experience abroad as faculty. He is also recognised as a guide in post-graduate and PhD programme. Always likes to blend with students in sports activities.
