M.Pharm - Pharmaceutics
Master of Pharmacy in pharmaceutics program aims at developing the knowledge for converting a chemical entity into a new convenient dosage form for administration. It includes the basics of Preformulation study to the ultimate conventional dosage form and novel drug delivery system. Scale up of laboratory scheme of the research into large scale production also includes in the course. The course covers the safety and efficacy of the finished pharmaceutical product in terms of biopharmaceutics and pharmacokinetics. The program also designed for the development of Cosmetics and cosmeceuticals which has considerable usage in the present era. Regulatory Guidelines for drugs & cosmetics a new area which has wide range of competency in the pharmaceutical industry is also focussed to cover the whole area of pharmaceutical development process. Use of computers purges to highest peak in this decade, hence utilisation of computers for drug design and its assistance in drug delivery system also plays a major part in the program. Entrepreneurship including marketing , distribution and manufacturing in pharma field also comprise major field in the health care category in India which also has been included in the PG program.

Pass in the following examinations
- B.Pharm Degree examinations in an Indian University established by law in India from an institution approved by PCI and has scored not less than 55% of maximum marks (aggregate of 4 years B.Pharm).
- Every student, selected for admission to post graduate pharmacy program in any PCI approved institution should have obtained registration with the State Pharmacy Council or should obtain the same within one month from the date of his/her admission, failing which the admission of the candidate shall be cancelled.
- Selection Criteria Through Merit and written test/ personal interview.
Research & Development : The pharmacy industry is one such industry that thrives on research and development. For this option, M.Pharms and Ph.Ds are highly in demand for research of new drugs, process development, formulation, development, clinical trials and Toxicological Studies.
Formulation Development (F&D) : The options of working in production and manufacturing are huge. One can start his/ her own venture or work for someone. Professionals for production and manufacturing are not only required by biotechnological products, surgical dressings, medical devices, equipment, ayurvedic/ homeopathic / unani medicines, veterinary medicine, etc are also the requirement for the production of cosmetics, soaps, toiletries and dental products.
Manufacturing, Quality Control, Quality Assurance : one could also consider in the area of manufacturing of pharmaceuticals.
Regulatory Affairs : There are bodies that control and regulate medicines. FDA is the regulatory body that deals with governing and implementing the rules and regulations for the Drug and Pharmaceutical industry. The post of Drug Inspector, Asst. Drug Controller, Deputy Drug Controller, Drug Controller of state and finally D.C. I. (Drug Controller of India) is an option one can aspire for.
Sales & Marketing: The Pharmaceuticals sales and marketing is considered to be a highly technical arena and hence one of the best when it comes to perks.
Academia : one can also opt for academics if he/she is interested in education and research because academics gives the better environment and time pursue research Entrepreneurship
