The proposed course aims to provide students with a broad theoretical and practical background in Phytochemistry - knowledge concerned with drugs obtained from plants or other natural sources. The course discusses methods of extractions, qualitative and quantitative analytical techniques as per the standard regulatory guidelines. In this 1-year Full Time Course, professional attention is given to train candidates in handling and testing natural Phyto-pharmaceuticals and other natural products of industrial importance using analytical instruments (like Flash chromatography, HPLC, HPTLC, FTIR, UV-Visible, GC, etc) and acquaint students with the latest industrial trends as well as National or International standards organization.
