MSc Cosmetic Science provides knowledge on cosmetic and cosmeceuticals (for skin, hair and oral care), personal care & hygiene products. Students will gain expertise in cosmetic chemistry & formulations, testing, regulations related to global Cosmetic Industries. The course will equip the students with the skills needed to work in cosmetics & its formulation, personal care and perfume industries. The course is designed in consultation with cosmetic industries and provide practical skills in the area of skin biology, formulation science, analytical evaluation of raw materials used in cosmetics & perfumery.
Additionally to the core modules offered, the program also offers electives where the candidates have an opportunity to choose an elective. Electives offered are as follows;

Dr. Srinivasan is currently working as an Assistant Professor at JSS Academy of Higher Education & Reserach. Mysore. She heads PG program in Nanoscience and Technology. She completed her Masters and PhD from UK and briefly worked in Max Planck Germany followed by enriching research experience at Thomas Jefferson University Philadelphia, USA. Her area of research involves development of aerosol formulations for pulmonary delivery, development of protein mainly protein (monoclonal) nanoformulations, polymeric nanoparticles, screening phytochemicals and harnessing biomaterials in nanomedicine, endocytosis of nanomedicine. Most of her work has been published in peer reviewed journals. She has chaired several scientific sessions in national and International conferences. She also serves as reviewer and serves as associate editor of International health and allied Sciences. She holds a US patent on aerosol formulations for pulmonary delivery and a recipient of Biotechnology Innovation Award, hosted by Genentech, San Diego, United States of America and the IMRF Young Scientist Award, India.
