The Molecular Biology Division was founded in 2014 to improve and provide high-quality interdisciplinary education in the field of life sciences. We have international faculty members who are at the forefront of diverse fields that span the frontiers of biological research and discovery in the current scenario: Molecular Biology is a branch of science that bridges the gap between medicine and biology. Candidates are given a comprehensive forum on which they can learn how to conduct research, organize data, and make scientific breakthroughs in the field of medicine. Molecular Biology is concerned with using the most recent advances and technologies to find a cure for diseases as well as avoid them. Candidates will develop an in-depth understanding of the different issues involved in making science work as a result of the program.
The M.Sc. The molecular Biology curriculum covers all facets of study and tool production to instill basic Molecular Biology concepts in students. They are taught about evolution and how it has influenced the living world, including animals and plants, in dramatic ways. The students are allowed to hone their interpersonal skills, as well as their ability to perform analyses, solve problems, and initiate and create projects. The course paves the way for students interested in furthering their education in the area.
The course curriculum is structured to give candidates the most credence in the subject by allowing them to discuss various topics in the field. Molecular Cell Signalling and Functions; Functional Genomics and Proteomics; Genetic Models of Development and Disease; Molecular Medicine and Human Genetics; Cellular Radiobiology; Cancer and Stem Cell Biology & Biostatistics providing an enormous breadth and depth of research expertise and training.
The M.Sc. in Molecular Biology program prepares students to perform a variety of tasks in the field of molecular biology. A broad variety of career openings in agriculture, aquaculture, forensics, medical, pharmaceutical, environmental science, and other fields are available to graduates. The course aims to provide candidates with the skills necessary to develop a realistic and broad understanding of the subject, preparing them to become competent biologists and scientists in the futures.
Qualifying B.Sc. in either subject of Microbiology, Biotechnology, Botany, Zoology or Genetic with 50% aggregate and above from a recognized university/ Entrance Test
Graduates acquire a wide range of subject specific and transferable skills and gain extensive research experience.

Also served as Post Doctoral Fellow at University of Malaya, West Virginia University, USA and Oklahoma University. Kanthesh BM after completing his Ph.D. he got Post Doctoral Fellowship from University Malaya, Kuala Lumpur. His main research area is Arbovirus infections, in that they done patented work on “Early detection of BK virus using molecular methods”.
For his excellent work Attained Malaysia Prestigious Bio-Malaysia Gold medal Award. In USA main research work is focused on various aspects of cancer biology at the molecular level.
Specific research areas include: (a) Regulation of gene expression at the level of mRNA stability and translation, (b) Cancer Stem Cells. (c) Mechanism of hepatitis C virus induced Liver Carcinogenesis. (d) Electrolyte transport processes that regulate colonic fluid movement during physiological and pathophysiological (diarrhea and ulcerative colitis) conditions.
Research in the Laboratory is focused on various aspects of Cancer biology at the Molecular level. Specific research areas include (a) Regulation of gene expression at the levels of mRNA stability and translation, (b) Cancer Stem cells and (c) Mechanisms of Chemoprevention by dietary factors and its novel Derivatives. My Main goal of research is to determine the role of RNA Binding proteins in tumor progression and metastasis.
In addition to research he is involved in teaching the under graduate and post graduate and doctoral students.
