M.Sc., Bioinformatics extends for a period of two years under Semester Pattern (Four semesters). The Program has been designed in a way to make the students understand the basics and fundamental concepts in bioinformatics and its application in biological issues. Pharmaceutical and medical bioinformatics is a new discipline in the area of the genomics revolution. It is central to biomedicine with application in areas like pharmacy, medicine, biology and medicinal chemistry.
A Bachelor Degree (B.Sc./B.Tech) with biology as a major subject recognized by UGC or an equivalent accrediting Board.
Postgraduates with M.Sc., Bioinformatics have excellent research opportunities after completion of the PG degree either in the same or other Life sciences streams. Well trained Bioinformaticians are highly required in drug designing, computational biology, pharmaceutical industries, NGS (next generation sequencing), etc.
Indian Students : INR 61200.00 per year
NRI Students : USD 1320 per year
I would like to work for and guide the younger students in the same field to develop a band of future researchers. My passion is teaching and research. Contribute to the best of my ability to fulfill the goals of the Academy!!!
