Dr. Patteswari is a passionate educator, researcher, and academician currently serving as the Division Coordinator and Associate Professor in the Division of Psychology and Cognitive Neuroscience, Faculty of Life Sciences, at JSS Academy of Higher Education & Research (JSS AHER), Mysuru, Karnataka. She is widely admired by her students for her dedication to teaching, mentoring, research guidance, and academic excellence.
She completed her Ph.D. in Psychology from JSS Medical College, JSS Academy of Higher Education & Research, Mysuru. Prior to this, she completed her M.Phil. and M.Sc. in Psychology under Bharathiar University, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. She began her academic career in 2017 and has since contributed significantly to the development and advancement of Psychology and Cognitive Neuroscience programmes at JSS AHER.
Her areas of specialization include Cognitive Neuroscience, Artificial Intelligence in Psychology, Digital Psychology, and interdisciplinary neurocognitive research. Her research interests focus on the integration of psychology, neuroscience, artificial intelligence, digital behavior, and mental health among adolescents and emerging adults.
Dr. Patteswari has published more than 23 research papers in reputed national and international journals and has presented numerous research papers at national and international conferences. She has received several extramural research fundings and grants from agencies such as DST, ICMR, and other governmental and non-governmental organizations for interdisciplinary and innovative research projects. She has also organized and chaired interdisciplinary conferences, workshops, faculty development programmes, and academic sessions at various levels.
In recognition of her academic and research contributions, she has received awards and appreciations at several national and international conferences, seminars, and scholarly events. She actively collaborates with researchers from multidisciplinary domains and continuously promotes research culture among students and young scholars.
Dr. Patteswari is deeply committed to nurturing future researchers and academicians in the fields of Psychology and Cognitive Neuroscience. She has successfully guided 22 postgraduate students in Cognitive Neuroscience and 32 undergraduate and postgraduate Psychology students. In addition, three Ph.D. scholars are currently pursuing their research under her guidance. She continuously motivates students toward research innovation, scientific thinking, publication ethics, and academic excellence.

Dr. Deepa L. Hunagund is an accomplished academician and researcher currently serving as an Associate Professor and BSc Course Coordinator in Psychology and Cognitive Neurosciences at JSS Academy of Higher Education and Research, Mysuru, with over a decade of teaching experience spanning undergraduate and postgraduate levels. She holds a Ph.D. in Psychology from Karnatak University, Dharwad, and is a gold medalist in her master’s degree, with research expertise in personality, psychological well-being, empathy, gratitude, and emerging areas such as health and positive psychology. She has an extensive research portfolio including numerous publications in Scopus and Web of Science indexed journals, multiple conference presentations, and ongoing Ph.D. supervision. Dr. Deepa actively contributes as a resource person, curriculum developer, and member of academic bodies, and has been involved in national initiatives like MANODARPAN, promoting mental health awareness and student well-being. Her work reflects a strong commitment to teaching excellence, research innovation, and community engagement in the field of psychology. She is also guiding 04 PhD research scholar presently and MSc students too.
The thrust area centres on mental health and psychological well-being, with a particular focus on the interplay between personality, emotional processes (such as empathy, gratitude, and resilience), and contemporary challenges arising from digital environments. Her work emphasizes adolescent and youth mental health. Additionally, she contributes to applied domains including counselling, guidance, and psychosocial support, especially in educational settings, while incorporating Indian knowledge systems and holistic approaches to mental health.
