The Drug and Poison Information Centre (DIC), located in the Govt. Medical College & Hospital (formerly Govt. District Headquarters Hospital, Ooty) is established with the blessings of his holiness Swamiji under Department of Pharmacy Practice, JSS COLLEGE OF PHARMACY, Ooty (A Constituent College of JSS Academy of Higher Education and Research, Mysuru). This centre provides consultative services to health care professionals. DIC responds to drug and therapeutics-related information requests from health care professionals practicing throughout India. Additionally, the DIC faculty assist health care workers on formulary matters.

This drug information centre has been established in the Govt. Medical College & Hospital, Ooty, for easy accessibility of the drug information services by the healthcare professionals and the patients. Unbiased, comprehensive and relevant information regarding the drugs and therapeutics as well as other related healthcare work is provided to the physicians and other health care professionals to support better patient care.
