Animal house facility at JSS College of Pharmacy, Ooty, was established in the year 1999. The facility was registered as Small Animal Facility with the Committee for the Purpose of Control and Supervision of Experiments on Animals (CPCSEA), Ministry of Environment and Forests, Government of India, New Delhi. All activities related to laboratory animal breeding and research are performed as per the guidelines of CPCSEA, New Delhi. The small animals available at the facility for carrying out research include Rats, Mice, Guinea Pigs and Rabbits.
