Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry extend its wings in the computational(pharmacophore-based virtual screening, 3D-QSAR studies, molecular docking and molecular dynamics) studies andsmall molecule synthesis usingmicrowave and solid-phase synthesis.The department faculty members have high expertise in the computational drug designtools and small molecule drug discovery (synthetic and natural) strategies. Research scholars and postgraduate students are actively engaged in the drug discovery research. Some of the key research activities of department are listed below.
The Department has well equipped research laboratories with several advanced instruments and drug discovery software tools for the synthesis of new chemical entities (NCEs).The laboratories are designed and equipped with several unique features and facilities including a central ventilation system and very sophisticated fume hoods attached to nitrogen, vacuum and water supply.
Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry involves in the collaborative and interdisciplinary researchwith national and international institutes.
The research outcomes are published in reputed and high-impact factor Journals such as.
Training program: Department conducts several programs including seminars/webinars, symphosia, conferences to enrich the skills on updated techniques and modern tools for the academic and industry peoples.
Consultancy services: Molecular docking, custom synthesis and chemical characterization (FT-IR) studies are provided.
