Division of Environmental Science, Department of Water & Health-Faculty of Natural Sciences, JSS Academy of Higher Education and Research, Mysuru was organized a walkathon and awareness program on Impact of Plastics on Environment and Save Cauvery in association with Environmental Management Planning and Research Institute (EMPRI), Govt. of Karnataka, Bengaluru at Shrirangapatna town on 26th October 2019.

Dr. K. H Vinay Kumar, Director Research, EMPRI has inaugurated the program and throughout the walkathon, street plays and environmental slogans were performed by the students and artists from various institutes of Mandya and Mysuru. Followed by the awareness walkathon, cleaning and anticlastic campaign were carried by all the participants from various institutes at Wesley Bridge of Cauvery River near Shrirangapatna.

Ms. Satyashree, Programme Coordinator, Mr. Ramesh Chandrappa, Planning Officer and other staff from EMPRI were leading the walkathon and awareness program. Dr. Vadiraj K T and Dr. Anil Kumar K.M. faculty members from Division of Environmental Science, Department of Water & Health-Faculty of Natural Sciences, JSS Academy of Higher Education and Research, Mysuru were facilitated the walkathon and awareness program.
