On occasion of World Forest Day, Division of Environmental Sciences, Department of Water & Health, JSS Academy of Higher Education & Research, Mysuru has organized a special awareness and education campaign on Forest Conservation and Forest Fire at Bergy Village, Gundlupet Taluk, Chamarajanagra district, which is located next to Bhandipura National Park.

During the awareness program, students of Environmental Sciences have created awareness and educated the villagers and children about the importance of quality environment and the role of forest in managing the health environment by walkathon and active interactions. In addition, students of Environmental sciences created awareness and educated them on the impact of forest for our children and the cause of anthropogenic forest fire through a street play.

President and members of Bergy Gram panchayath and Mr. Naveen, ACF & Mr. Prasanna CR from the forest department was associated for the awareness program.
