The University Sophisticated Instrumentation Centre (USIC) at JSS Academy of Higher Education & Research (JSS AHER), Mysuru, in association with the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, JSSCPM, officially commenced its two-day specialized workshop today. Focused on addressing critical analytical hurdles and control strategies for nitrosamine and genotoxic impurities, Day 1 featured insightful technical lectures and practical exposure led by industry experts: Dr. Vinay Vishwanath (Senior Principal Investigator, Biocon Bristol-Myers Squibb R&D Center, Syngene International Ltd) delivered a comprehensive session on Nitrosamines in Pharmaceuticals: Overview, Role of Analytical Sciences, and Future Perspectives. Mr. Chandrashekhara M (Application Specialist III, Thermo Scientific) presented on Fundamentals of GC-MS/MS Technology & Key Applications in Genotoxic Impurity Studies, followed by an interactive, hands-on session on GC-MS/MS instrumentation. The event brings together faculty, research scholars, and industry professionals to strengthen technical expertise and research capability in advanced analytical instrumentation.
