An Awareness Program was organized by DIVISION OF ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE, Department of Water and Health, Faculty of Natural Sciences on occasion of International Ozone Day and Swachh Bharat Abhiyan on 20th September 2019 at Sri Shivakumara Swamiji High School, Paravamipura and tourist places around T Narasipura.

To create awareness among the school children and rural community about the water and sanitation, conservation of environment and consequences of climate change, street plays and mime shows were organized. Environmental science students (UG and PG) interacted and educated the public about the safe water and sanitation in context of Swachh Bharath Abhiyan.

Student’s performances of street plays and mime about hazards of single use plastic and its mismanagement, ozone depletion and deforestation created awareness among the children and public towards the importance of environmental conservation and individual responsibility.
