The Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics, JSS Dental College & Hospital, in association with the Association of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics – Karnataka (ACE-K), successfully organized Rapid Recap 2026, a three-day examination-oriented revision program for Final Year MDS students, from 5th to 7th August 2026. The event was designed to provide focused academic guidance, comprehensive revision, and strategic examination preparation for postgraduate students. A total of 138 delegates from 31 dental colleges across Karnataka participated in the program

The inaugural ceremony was graced by Dr. H. Basavanagowdappa, Vice Chancellor, JSS AHER; Dr. B. Manjunatha, Registrar, JSS AHER; Dr. Mohan Thomas Nainan, President, ACE-K; Dr. Kiran Kumar N., Secretary, ACE-K; Dr. Dhakshaini M. R., Principal, JSS Dental College & Hospital; Dr. Jaishankar H. P., Vice Principal; and Dr. Ashwini T. S., Professor and Head, Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics. The ceremony also marked the digital release of two academic resources prepared for the delegates—Quick Glimpse, a compilation of examination revision posters, and Timelapse, a timeline highlighting landmark studies in Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics

The first day featured five examination-oriented lecture sessions and a practical examination session, offering valuable insights into university examination patterns and clinical applications. A highlight of the day was the Conservative Dentistry Quiz, where Subbaiah Institute of Dental Sciences, Shivamogga emerged as the winners, while M.R. Ambedkar Dental College and Hospital, Bengaluru secured the runners-up position. The day concluded with a lucky draw, recognizing participating delegates with special prizes

The second day comprised five interactive discussion sessions and one practical discussion session, emphasizing clinical decision-making and viva voce preparation. The Endodontics Quiz witnessed enthusiastic participation, with JSS Dental College & Hospital, Mysuru winning the competition and Sri Rajiv Gandhi College of Dental Sciences and Hospital, Bengaluru finishing as runners-up. Lucky draw prizes were also distributed to delegates, adding to the excitement of the event

The final day featured five comprehensive revision lectures delivered by distinguished faculty members, focusing on essential concepts, recent advances, and effective examination strategies. The sessions provided participants with valuable last-minute academic reinforcement before their university examinations. The program concluded with the distribution of lucky draw prizes and a formal valedictory session

Rapid Recap 2026 successfully brought together postgraduate students, academicians, and subject experts for three days of intensive academic engagement, collaborative learning, and professional interaction.
