Dr. Sunila B. Sangappa, Reader, Department of Prosthodontics, JSS Dental College & Hospital, JSS Academy of Higher Education & Research (JSSAHER), Mysuru, was honoured with the prestigious Prostho Maestro Award in recognition of her outstanding contributions to the field of Prosthodontics. The award was presented during the 12th Annual Conference of the Indian Prosthodontic Society (IPS), Karnataka State Branch, held at Gokarna from 7–9 August 2026

As part of the conference's scientific programme, Dr. Sunila conducted a pre-conference hands-on course titled “Fundamentals of Surveying and Designing RPD.” The course provided participants with a systematic approach to removable partial denture (RPD) framework design by integrating clinical findings with diagnostic cast analysis and applying sound biomechanical principles to achieve predictable, patient-centred treatment outcomes

In addition to her academic contribution, Dr. Sunila played an active role in the successful organisation of the conference as a Member of the Organising Committee. She also served as the Chairperson for the Scientific Paper Presentation Session, facilitating scholarly discussions, promoting academic excellence, and encouraging the exchange of innovative research among delegates and presenters
