A Team of 12 faculty from Khesar Gyalpo University of Medical Sciences of Bhutan (KGUMSB), Bhutan visited JSS Medical College, JSS Academy of Higher Education on 13/04/2026. The purpose of the visit was to understand the medical education system in India. The team visited the department of Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry and the medical college libraries, after a brief meeting with Dr Narayanappa D, Principal, and Dr Suma MN, Vice Principal at JSS Medical College. This was followed by a meeting with, Dr H Basavanagowdappa, Vice Chancellor, JSS AHER, during which the Vice Chancellor briefed about the constituent colleges of JSS AHER and discussed the scope of future collaboration between the two institutions with respect to academics and research. In the afternoon, the team met Dr Madhu CP, Director, JSS Hospital and Dr Soubam Singh, HOD, dept of Hospital Administration, had a brief discussion on various specialities available at the hospital and later visited the department of Genetics and Skill and Simulation Centre. Dr Vishal Gupta, Dean Academics (JSS AHER) and Sri SR Satish Chandra, Administrative Officer, JSS MC helped in the smooth conduct of the visit.
