
A free anaemia screening camp was conducted in collaboration with the NSS Unit, JSSCPM, and IPA Local Branch, JSS College of Pharmacy, Mysuru, at Darasaguppe Village on 28th March 2026 from 10 am to 1 pm. The camp mainly focused on anaemia screening through haemoglobin (Hb) testing using a hemoglobinometer and single-use cuvettes. Since anaemia is a common health issue among adults and adolescents, this activity focused on its identification and management. A total of 77 individuals participated and benefited from the free check-up services. NSS volunteers actively assisted in registration, coordination, and the smooth execution of the camp. The medical doctors from Lakshmi Hospital, Pandavapura, were present, who reviewed the test reports and prescribed hematinics. Free iron and folic acid tablets as well as liquid iron preparations were provided to the prescription holders
