The Special Interest Group in Translational Research in Reproductive Genetics (SIG-TRRG), in association with the Department of Medical Genetics, JSS Medical College, JSS Academy of Higher Education & Research (JSS AHER), Mysuru, organized an invited talk on 31 July 2026 at JSS Hospital, Mysuru. The invited speaker, Dr. Sudhanshu Shukla, Associate Professor, Indian Institute of Technology Dharwad, delivered a talk entitled “A Tale of One RNA and Two Proteins: An Oncogenic Scaffold in Lung Adenocarcinoma.” The session provided participants with insights into contemporary cancer biology research, with particular emphasis on RNA–protein interactions and their relevance to oncogenic mechanisms in lung adenocarcinoma. The interaction also provided an opportunity for students, research scholars, and faculty members to engage with the speaker and discuss emerging concepts and research approaches in molecular and translational biology. The programme witnessed active participation from faculty members, research scholars, and students. The session concluded with an interactive discussion, followed by the presentation of a certificate of appreciation to the invited speaker. The programme was organised by Dr Praveen Kumar K.S., Team Leader, SIG-TRRG and Assistant Professor, Department of Medical Genetics, with Dr Suvilesh K.N. coordinating the invited talk. The programme reflects the continuing efforts of SIG-TRRG and the Department of Medical Genetics to promote academic interaction, interdisciplinary learning, and exposure of students and young researchers to emerging areas of biomedical and translational research.
