The Special Smiles team of JSS Dental College & Hospital, a constituent institution of JSS Academy of Higher Education & Research (JSS AHER), conducted an Oral Health Education Reinforcement Program at Aashiana – A School for Special Children on 25 May 2026, in association with Group Pharmaceuticals Ltd

The program was organized with the objective of reinforcing oral health awareness and promoting proper oral hygiene practices among children with special needs and their caregivers through individualized interaction and education

During the session, oral health instructions were reinforced on a one-to-one basis, focusing on the importance of regular tooth brushing, maintaining oral cleanliness, and adopting healthy dietary habits for improved oral health. Interactive educational activities were conducted to engage the students and encourage positive oral health behaviors

As part of the initiative, toothpaste was distributed to all participating students to support and motivate the maintenance of good oral hygiene practices at home.

The program was conducted by the Special Smiles team comprising Dr. Nandlal B and Dr. Chanchala H. P., along with Dr. Sunil Chiplunkar, Vice President – Business Development, Group Pharmaceuticals Ltd

The activity witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and valuable support from the school staff and caregivers. The program successfully contributed to strengthening oral health awareness and promoting preventive oral healthcare among children with special needs
