On April 20, 2026, the PG Department of Social Work at JSS College (Ooty Road), in collaboration with the Department of Nutrition & Dietetics at JSS AHER, conducted the MSW Social Work Camp-2026 at Udburu Haadi in H.D. Kote. The joint community outreach field visit aimed to assess tribal lifestyle patterns, bridge academic learning with real-world health challenges, and promote proactive nutrition awareness among vulnerable families. Students and faculty engaged directly with tribal women, children, and village elders to conduct informal nutritional surveys and lead vital educational sessions on balanced diets, anemia prevention, personal hygiene, and the value of locally sourced foods. Concluding successfully with active community participation, this socially responsible initiative underscored the critical need for continuous, community-based interventions to combat local malnutrition and improve regional public health.
