JSSCP, Ooty - Happy to share that a CSIR, New Delhi and JSS AHER sponsored awareness program on “Harnessing Drug Abuse to Ignite the Minds of the Tribal People in the Nilgiris District” was successfully conducted on Sunday, March 15, 2026 at the tribal villages Semmanatham and Bhoothanatham, near Masinagudi.

The program was graced by distinguished guests including Mr.Vidhyaadhar, IFS (Deputy Director, Forest Department), Mr.Rajan (Forest Officer), Dr.P.Kanagambal (Associate Professor & HoD, Dept. of History, Govt. Arts College, Ooty), Mr.G.Saravanan (All India Radio, Ooty) and Dr.Anusha Srikanth (Dentist, Ooty).

Around 120 tribal participants and 10 forest officers actively attended the program and appreciated the initiative aimed at spreading awareness about drug abuse and promoting community well-being.
