The Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics at JSS Dental College and Hospital, a constituent college of JSS Academy of Higher Education & Research, celebrated Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics Day on 05 March 2026 with a series of academic, outreach, and student engagement activities

As part of the celebrations, the department organized national-level competitions including “Roots and Riddles”, a quiz competition, and “Pulp and Pixels”, a microscope photography competition, which encouraged academic excellence and creativity among students

An academic lecture was delivered by Dr. Inamdar Saquib Ahmed, an international speaker, on the topic “Healing of Chronic Periapical Lesions with Laser and Photobiomodulation.” The lecture highlighted recent advancements and clinical approaches in the management of periapical pathologies

As part of community outreach initiatives, the department conducted a school awareness program on dental trauma, educating students about dental fractures, avulsion, and the immediate steps required in such situations. In addition, a radio talk was organized to create public awareness about the role and scope of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics and the services offered by the department

Students actively participated in various creative activities such as Face Painting, Restore the Word, and Best Out of Waste, promoting creativity, teamwork, and sustainability

The celebrations concluded with a prize distribution ceremony recognizing the winners and participants, followed by a musical jamming session in which students and faculty members came together, marking a lively and memorable end to the event
