Dr. Vidya C. S., Professor of Anatomy, made a significant academic contribution at SOMACON 3, held at S.N. Medical College, Jodhpur, by delivering the prestigious Smt. Jyothika Roy Memorial Award Lecture on 31st and Feb 1st 2026. Her lecture, titled “Effectiveness of Hands-on Cadaveric Workshop by Multidisciplinary Surgical Departments,” highlighted the pivotal role of cadaver-based learning in enhancing surgical training and interdisciplinary collaboration. In addition Dr. Vidya actively participated as an expert panelist in a session on translational research in Anatomy, where she contributed valuable insights on integrating basic anatomical research with clinical and surgical advancements. Her inputs underscored the evolving role of anatomists in fostering innovation and evidence-based practice across medical disciplines. In recognition of her academic leadership and contributions to the field of Anatomy, Dr. Vidya C. S. was also nominated as an Executive Committee Member of the Society of Medical Anatomists, representing the state of Karnataka.
