Special Interest Group–AMR, in collaboration with the Department of Microbiology, hosted an engaging undergraduate guest lecture on “Microbiology: The Cornerstone of Clinical Medicine” on 30/01/2026 (8–9 AM) by Dr. Apurba Sankar Sastry, renowned author of Essentials of Medical Microbiology and Additional Professor, Department of Microbiology, JIPMER. With 2nd year MBBS students in full strength and enthusiastic participation from 3rd and final year MBBS students, the session was highly interactive and highlighted the indispensable role of microbiology in real-world clinical practice.
