
January 25th is celebrated as National Voter’s Day and this time is the 16th National Voter’s Day on 24th January 2026. The theme of NVD celebrations for this year is “My India, My Vote”. In commemoration of National Voter’s Day, NSS wing JSS Medical College, Mysuru, organized on oath taking ceremony for the II phase MBBS students at Pharmacology Experimental Lab at 11am. Voter’s pledge is taken by the voters in favour of ethical voting upholding the democratic traditions of the country and the dignity of free, fair & peaceful elections. Around 50 medical students participated and took the voter’s pledge voluntarily. The NVD programme was graced by Dr Praveen Kulkarni, Vice Principal, JSSMC and Mr Satish Chandra, Administrative Officer, JSSMC and Dr Kalabharathi H L, Professor and Head, Department of Pharmacology, JSSMC along with other teaching faculties of the Department of Pharmacology, JSSMC. The voter’s pledge is as follows “We, the citizens of India, having abiding faith in Democracy, hereby pledge to uphold the democratic traditions of our country and the dignity of free, fair and peaceful elections, and to vote in every elections fearlessly and without being influenced by consideration of religion, race, caste, community, language or any inducement” The programme was coordinated by Dr Manu G, NSS Programme Officer, JSS Medical College, Mysuru.
