Dr. Aruna, Reader, Department of Periodontology, participated in the International Conference on Translational and Technological Advances in Health Sciences (ICTAHS 2025) held from 13th to 15th November 2025 at Dayananda Sagar University, Bengaluru

She delivered an oral presentation titled “Melatonin as a Locally Delivered Drug in the Treatment of Periodontal Infra-Bony Defects – A Randomized Controlled Trial.

Dr. Aruna secured the Second Prize in the Oral Presentation category. The award was presented by the School of Health Sciences, Dayananda Sagar University, in recognition of her contribution to advancing evidence-based periodontology and innovative therapeutic approaches

She has also received a patent for the same study, further highlighting the impact and originality of her research
