The Department of Periodontology, JSS Dental College & Hospital, organized a guest lecture on “2017 Classification of Periodontal and Peri-Implant Diseases” on 24 November 2025 (Monday). The session was delivered by Dr. Devinder Singh Kalsi, Former Principal and Head, Department of Periodontology, BJS Dental College and Research Institute, Ludhiana, Punjab

The program commenced with a formal welcome, followed by an insightful and comprehensive lecture by Dr. Kalsi. He detailed the key updates in the 2017 classification system, including diagnostic criteria, staging and grading of periodontitis, and classifications of peri-implant diseases, supported with practical examples for better understanding
