The Department of Anatomy organized a Guest Lecture on 30th October 2025 to commemorate World Anatomy Day 2025. Dr. Seema Deepak, Professor and Head, Department of Anatomy, Mysore Medical College & Research Institute (and a proud alumna of JSS Medical College), was the guest speaker for the event. The topic of the guest lecture was “Cadaver to Clinic: Habits that Shape Tomorrow’s Doctor.” The program began with a brief introduction on the significance of World Anatomy Day by Dr.Poonam D.N. Dr. Vidya C.S., Professor and Head of Anatomy, warmly welcomed the guest speaker, followed by the introduction of the speaker by Dr. Pushpa N.B. After the insightful session, Dr. Seema Deepak was felicitated. The occasion was graced by Dr. Narayanappa D., Principal; Dr. Praveen Kulkarni, Vice Principal (Para-Clinical); Sri S.R. Satish Chandra, Administrative Officer; Dr. Pushpalatha K., Professor of Anatomy & Dean, IQAC; and Dr. Deepa Bhat, Professor of Anatomy. The Principal, Dr. Narayanappa, appreciated the department for organizing the lecture, and Dr. Praveen Kulkarni emphasized the importance of Anatomy as a core subject in medical education. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from the faculty members, postgraduate students, and First MBBS students of the department.
