National Cancer Awareness Day 2025 was marked with great enthusiasm by the School of Public Health, JSS Medical College, as over 200 participants—including students, faculty, health officials, and the Bulls of Mysuru Bikers' MC—joined an inspiring bike rally from JSS Hospital to JSS Medical College to spread the message of cancer prevention and early detection across Mysuru. The event was inaugurated by Dr. H. Basavanagowdappa, Vice Chancellor, JSS AHER; Dr. Narayanappa D, Principal, JSS Medical College; and Dr. Madhu C. P., Director, JSS Hospital, and was graced by Guest of Honour Dr. Nagaraj D. G., District Surveillance Officer, Department of Health & Family Welfare, and Special Guest of Honour Dr. Brinda S. Godhi, Associate Professor, JSS Dental College, whose inspiring Kashmir to Kanyakumari (K2K) cycling expedition—3,658 km in 22 days advocating for oral cancer awareness—brought added energy and meaning to the day. The event strengthened inter-departmental collaboration, promoted community engagement, and motivated everyone present to become proactive advocates for a healthier, cancer-free future.
